Q. 1 Critically examine the important
steps involved in scientific method. What problems are involved in its use?
Elaborate.
Steps involved in scientific method
The
scientific method is an experimental process used
for observations and
questions. Does all scientific researchers follow this process exactly? No, not
that. Some fields of science can be tested more easily. Scientists who study
how stars change at age, for example, or how dinosaurs digest food, are unable
to quickly advance a star's life by a million years or perform health
examinations for the feeding of dinosaurs to test their assumptions. If direct
testing is impossible, the scientific method is modified by scientists. Indeed,
the scientific method probably exists as many versions as scientists! Yet the
goal remains the same even when modified: to detect relationships of cause and
effect by posing questions, collecting and examining evidence carefully, and to
see whether all available information can be combined into a logical solution.
Even
if we demonstrate the scientific method as a series of steps, remember that a
scientist may at every point in the process rely on new information or
thinking. An iterative process is referred to as a process like the scientific
method, which involves such what is support and reputation.
Whether
you are carrying out a scientific fair project, a classroom science activity,
independent research or a practical research study understanding the steps of
the scientific method, you can focus your scientific question and work to
answer the question with your observations and data.
1. Ask a Question
The
scientific method begins by asking something you observe: How, What, When, Who,
Which, Why and Where?
Some
teachers need something for a science fair project, preferably a number, to
measure the question.
2. Do Background Research
An
expert scientist using library and Internet research wants to help you find the
best way to do things and to ensure that you do not recur to errors from the
past, instead of starting from scratch to prepare a plan in order to respond to
your question.........................................................................................................................................
